For 2020, I've decided that each season will have its own theme to inspire both my makings and our newsletter chats. For January, that theme is friendship, because I'm so grateful to be starting another trip around the sun with all of you!

Today's update brings with it a rainbow of shawl cuffs, shining end minder sets, friends to help you with your #ShawlPinStyle, and Large Noteworthy designs to keep your coziest knits in place like a yarnie hug.

Let's make a colorful start with my new series of shawl cuffs! One of the benefits of using cork material is the brilliant array of colorways to choose from. Available in both Classic and Charmed, these hugs for your shawls and wrists are inspired by our similarities and differences. We're all human (which is always good to keep in mind), but each one of us has our own special abilities and path to walk.

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you've probably seen my furry family members quite often. They like to inspect my work and supervise shawl pin creation. Our four-legged family members are loyal, loving, and ready to provide a cuddle at a moment's notice. That's why I thought they'd make excellent companions for your handknits!

Next, I took a little flight into fantasy territory with magical creatures that can be both friend and foe, depending on the storyteller. I like to think that they'll inspire their wearer to spread their wings and soar, or to conquer their fears in the new year. And really, who wouldn't like a dragon by their side each day? Nothing inspires confidence like back-up from our fiercest friends.
Of course, between this month's theme and next month's holiday I knew that I had to create a piece of wearable love. This generously-sized Charmed style is adorned with a ring of interconnected hearts. I like to think of it as symbolizing all of the different types of love we give and receive, each one independently important but together forming the network that supports us each day. 💙

As this newsletter's subject line sang, "Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver, the other is gold!". This Girl Scout song inspired January's special edition end minder sets as a reminder that no matter the length, every friendship is unique, special, and shines bright in its own way. ✨

With all of these Large Noteworthy styles ready to adorn your coziest knits, and a new season right around the corner, I thought I'd start my final segment with Apparent Outlander.

Now that I have your attention, I would very much appreciate your assistance with a new project. I am looking for someone (or a few someones) who crochet C2C or other colorwork blankets. If you're familiar with my Sensational Sheep yarn bobbins, you've probably already figured out why, but please do reply to this email if you find your interest piqued! 😊
