Time to dust off the kit and prepare for a new decade of cricket at SMCC! Net's start this weekend for the senior sections. Details as per the below:
Women's Nets
Coach Sadiq Hassan returns to lead the sessions in much the same format as last year, which is as follows:
Every Sunday from 12 January to 29 March
4pm to 6pm at Alleyn's School.
£10 per session (or £5 for concessions) - payment via Teamo preferred
All members and prospective members welcome!
Men's Nets
For the men, the format has been tweaked to provide better value and raise the standard following feedback from you, the members. Whilst we have been loathe to split the sessions and divide the men’s section, the weight of numbers at the winter sessions have led to overcrowded nets and little chance to improve. To address this, we are obtaining coaches and will split the sessions as follows. Please note that you are welcome to attend either or both sessions but they are designed to be targeted at certain abilities:
Sunday Sessions
Every Sunday from 12 January to 22 March
11am to 1pm at Dulwich Prep School.
£10 per session (£5 for concessions) - payment via Teamo preferred
Targeted towards: those who have represented the 4th XI, 5th XI or 6th XI in 2019 and those playing friendly cricket
Tuesday Sessions
Every Tuesday from 14 January to 24 March
7.30pm to 9.00pm at Dulwich Prep School.
£7.50 per session (£3.75 for concessions) - - payment via Teamo preferred
Targeted towards: those who have played 1st XI, 2nd XI or 3rd XI in 2019 and older/advanced juniors (U15-U18)
We will review success of the new format on a regular basis, adjust where necessary and welcome feedback as we go. Hopefully we’ll be able to use the larger facility at the Kent County Ground in Beckenham to have club-wide training in April but more detail on that closer to the time.
As ever, we expect a number of new faces at all these sessions so please extend your customary warm welcome to any prospective members.
