Get Your Federal Fix

Don’t forget that the early bird deadline for Region III & IV’s Joint Spring Meeting at TradeWinds Island Grand Resort is January 31st. Register now to save your institution money!

The Federal track in this year’s program is particularly strong. We will have representatives from NSF, NIH, USDA, and the Department of Commerce presenting a great line up of sessions. If you are looking for a deeper dive into NIH or NSF, both agencies will be hosting half-day pre-conference workshops in addition to their concurrent sessions. You won’t want to miss out!

SciENcv - WHAT IS IT?

And Do I Have to Use it?

Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae, better known as SciENcv, is an electronic system that allows researchers to create and maintain their biosketches for submission with grant applications and annual reporting.

In June 2019, The National Science Foundation (NSF) designated SciENcv as an approved format for submission of biosketches. With the implementation of the 2020 PAPPG, you will be required to use an NSF-approved format for generating biosketches (at this time the only known NSF-approved format is SciENcv).

Members of the research administration community have noted (via RESADM-L) that SciENcv does not currently allow pagination, which is a requirement for NSF biosketches. At the January FDP meeting, Jean Feldman clarified that the pagination requirement is not going away and that they are currently working on updating SciENcv to incorporate this feature.

Stay tuned for more information with the release of the 2020 PAPPG!
