New Year Planting New Seeds

We had a wonderful time visiting friends and family in the States. We made Christmas cookies, snuggled little ones, sang carols, enjoyed our favorite foods, celebrated Darren's Birthday, cheered for our favorite basketball team, shared what God is doing in Guatemala with 3 different church families, stayed up late and slept in...all with people we love.
We are home now, exhausted but so thankful for all of it.
God is Good!
 
Thank You for your generous hospitality, and faithful prayer and financial support. We were able to secure funding to begin new projects:
  1.  Next Saturday we will travel into the Basurero in zone 3 to hand out the new shoes to the children starting the school year, and do prayer visits with several of the families there.Thanks to your generosity, all 25 of students in the Light For the Future Ministry program will have new black leather shoes.
  2.  Next Thursday Pastor Donovan and his family will come to dinner at our house so we can begin formalizing plans for the new English classes and Aquaponics program with their ministry: Casa de los Suenos. Thanks again to you, we have the funding for all of the school supplies for the 20 students enrolling in the English program and can begin the process of starting the prototype for the Aquaponics system.
Gwen will continue to tutor English with the girls at Prince of Peace this next school year. She is moving classrooms and will start setting up the new one on Monday and begin teaching/tutoring on Thursday the 16th.
 
We are feeling privileged to be able to serve in Guatemala and excited to share God's love with the people that we work and live alongside here everyday. We are grateful to God and to all of you for helping us.
