Wishing you a very Happy New Year!
Here's a summary of what's on in January ...

Sunday 12 December - 9.30am All Age service
.
Everyone is welcome at our All Age service today at the usual time of 9.30am.  We'll be considering the theme of God's promises, and how we can trust a sovereign God when we see so many terrible events going on in the world around us.  Join us for a chat over tea and coffee afterwards.

Thursday 16 January - 10.30am
Coffee, Cake & Worship

Our regular mid-week service in St Weonard's Church.  If you need a lift, please contact Frances Phillips on 01981 240032.  We start with refreshments and a chance for a chat, followed by a short act of worship.  All welcome!

Sunday 26 January - 11.00am Family Communion
All welcome at our monthly parish communion service.  Do get in touch beforehand if you would like a lift to the service.  (Don't forget we have a wheelchair, ramp and accessible toilet available in the church ;-)
In other news ...

Thank you to all who joined us for our Christmas services.  It was great to see so many regulars and visitors supporting the services.  Thank you to all who made the church look beautiful with flowers and decorations, sang in the choir, served refreshments and washed up!  Thank you also to those who supported the benefice service on the Feast of Epiphany last week.
------------------------------------------
PCC meeting
The next PCC meeting will be at 7.30pm on Wednesday 15 January.  Please contact Fiona Mynors (Secretary) if you have any matters you would like discussed.
------------------------------------------
Eco Church
You'll remember that we registered with A Rocha UK for their brilliant Eco Church initiative.  We are almost ready to apply for a Bronze Award, but Stephen Herbert could do with some help completing the survey.  Please do get in touch with Stephen if you are interested in doing this.
------------------------------------------
For your prayers ...
Please contiinue to hold up in prayer those in need in our community.  In particular, please remember Elizabeth our vicar as she recovers from a period of being unwell.  A small group in the parish meet for an informal time of prayer every couple of weeks.  If you would like to join us from time to time, please get in touch with Stephen Herbert.
And finally ... more volunteers needed!
As with any church, we are completely reliant on volunteers to enable us to 'be' the church as well as 'do' church (i.e. carrying out our charitable objectives).  There are lots of 'behind the scenes' jobs as well as the more obvious visible ones to ensure we can continue to serve all those who visit the church, worship with us, or need our support.  Please let Elizabeth or a member of the PCC know if you could offer to help from time to time, or know someone who could.  Thank you.

Wishing you the Lord's peace and joy as you journey on with Him through this season of Epiphany and throughout 2020.
