Making mistakes is not the problem. We all do that, all the time. And generally speaking it’s not the end of the world.
A bigger issue is the refusal to recognise our mistakes, and continuing to compound mistakes already made. That comes from an attitude of self-importance, and an unwillingness to listen. And it comes from a reluctance to laugh at ourselves.
That last one is a big problem, that we take ourselves too seriously. We need to laugh at ourselves more. Learn to laugh at yourself again.
