Safe Place Ministries provides biblically based training, truth and support to those impacted by abuse. Christ was not afraid to enter into the most challenging brokenness and with that confidence, neither are we.

Executive Director's Corner

This time of year we often embrace hope of new beginnings, habits, and better health in many areas of our lives.  But what happens when that healing takes longer or looks different than we expected?  This month we are sharing the writing of a client that beautifully expresses her heart to a God who sees and understands.  May it bless you as it has us.

A Teaching Moment

“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 30:17

Health has many faces.  It is so easy and quick to assume this means physical health.  It can, and sometimes does, but today, I read it more as emotional, spiritual, even relational health.

Father, how do you want to restore me emotionally? How do you want to grow relationships in my life to health and in what ways does my spiritual walk need restoring and reshaping? Maybe through the restoring of emotional, relational and spiritual, it will also bring health to the physical. But, what if the presence of physical pain and being physically not healed, brings restoration and health to me emotionally, spiritually and relationally?

Or what if both are true?

Help me today to let go of how I feel I need to be restored and brought to health and open myself to Your healing in whatever forms that may take. Also, reshape my thinking that one area of healing shows more of Your faithfulness and love. It is so much wider, broader, deeper than that!

The one thing I do know is that You promise to heal my wounds and restore me to health, whatever that looks like this side of heaven.Thank you that I am fearfully and wonderfully made by You and You alone, know what I need when and how I need Your healing hand. You are so faithful.

The Emotionally Destructive Relationship class will begin Monday, February 10th from 10:30-12:00.
