New Registration system for HA/HQ and Clubs
A new registration system (yes another one!) is being used in 2020 for players to register.
Known as RevolutioniseSPORT (https://revolutionise.com.au) it is an online, web-based, platform agnostic, management system for sport clubs which will offer many benefits and simplify (hopefully) the workload for committee persons. See website for general details of what it can do.
The system (which has been used by Hockey NSW for several years) is now being implemented by Hockey Australia.
The concept (if understood correctly by Masters Voice) is there will be just one registration database with Hockey Australia (HA) will which will feed down to Hockey Queensland (HQ) (in our case) which will feed down to the association (BHA) Brisbane Hockey Assn in our case) which will in turn feed down to the Clubs within that association.
However, a player needs to start the process by joining their Club which will FEED UP into the system.
Make sense???
Each person (player or Off-Field Team member) will receive a unique Hockey National ID number in the process of registering for the first time. (It is assumed this HNID number will be utilised at each level and hopefully reduce the number of times one needs to register somewhere!!!.)
Check with your Club if they are using the new system yet.
More information will be published when it comes to hand. :-)

URGENT: Want to play MHL1 in 2020?
But your Club has no team at that level?
The Brisbane Masters' Committee voted for the option to have 6 teams in MHL1 division for 2020.
Currently there are only 5 Clubs who have proposed a MHL1 team.
To make the 6th team, the committee is seeking nominations from players who wish to play MHL1 from the Clubs who don't have a MHL1 team nominated.
NOTE: For this to happen players MUST nominate URGENTLY.
Currently there are 7 players who have nominated to play in MHL1 team. Ideally a maximum of 14 to 15 players would be needed.
The season starts early March and the decision will be made soon to shut down this option if there is not enough players to form a team.

Interested in playing CHL?
The Classic Hockey League (CHL) is the men's grass competition for all ages (run by the BHA).
Season runs from March to September each year.
Last year the Clubs in the competition included: Commercial / Norths / Pine Hills / Qld Uni / Valley.
Fixtures are always on Saturday at either 1:30pm or 3pm.
This allows players (along with their families) to plan their weekends more easily.
This CHL recruitment campaign is to encourage new players and new Clubs to participate in 2020.
As such, this is the first time of gathering a list of existing players and potential new players to the competition and will continue into 2020.
If playing a game, enjoying a beverage in a family environment on natural grass is for you, please register your interest.
All players, abilities and ages welcome.
Games are usually played at Finsbury Park, Shaw Park, Dorrington Park; or Pine Hills' home ground.
Membership fees vary from club to club, however as a general guide the cost for CHL is approx $450 for the season. Discounts for students.
Please email Rob Jones HockeyCHLinfo@gmail.com to register your interest or if you have any queries.
