Legendary Rhody Cruise-In Gets a New Home
Join us at Abby's Pizza for the legendary Cruise-In and Club meeting.
In the last CRUISER NEWSER, I presented the idea of moving our venue to Abby's Pizza, and called for a vote of the members.
.. Well the vote is in. I received a total of 12 Votes out of 64 Members who opened that NEWSER. That is a voting membership of 18.75%.
...YES Votes = 9 ...NO Votes = 3 Most noted they are sad to leave A&W, and truly appreciate the welcome Ann and her staff has given us. I spoke with Ann, and she understands and said we are welcome back if it doesn't work out.
I spoke with the Abby's manager and they are very pleased to have us.
CJ Booth also visited them and sent this report.
"I went by Abby’s to have a view of it, and Talked with Kim Gibson (the assistant manager) She said there would be free sodas, 10% off foods for those that qualify for a Sr. discounts, we could have seating anywhere we wanted. They would LOVE to see our cars out there and would give them a special spot to all be together. They have gluten free chicken wings, which I didn’t know. I bought some, brought it home for our dinner. We both LOVED it! And nice clean, warm indoor bathrooms😊" ...Thanx CJ!

Rhody Days Show & Shine
Date: May 16, 2020
Location: Grocery Outlet Parking Lot, Florence OR
At our last meeting, it was announced that the Rhody Cruisers will host the 28th Rhody Days Show & Shine. It was previously announced that the show was ending last year, because the venue was no longer available. But, as always, things change and for 2020, the Rhody Cruisers will step up and produce first Car Show of the year on the Oregon Coast.
The Show will be a joint effort of Rods 'n Rhodies Inc. and the Rhody Cruisers. Proceeds of the Show will benefit the Transportation Solutions Project, the charitable organization behind the Rods 'n Rhodies Old Town Car Show.
There is much to do, and we plan to organize a committee of members to work out many details, and perform many tasks. We all look forward to presenting this Car Show and count on your help. Watch for more announcements as we move into the project.
This Car Show is a tradition of Springtime. Over 300 cars attend.
The weather will be perfect, the sky blue, and the Cars always Bitchin'.
