My Favorite Geometric Sans Typefaces 🌈

I think my favorite style of typefaces are geometric. I tend to use them on any personal project. I love their use of basic geometric shapes like squares and circles. They play a significant role in their design. Their characters appear uniform, structured, and rhythmic. I find them approachable and friendly, even when they're sometimes a bit too perfect.⠀

The Bauhaus movement popularized these typefaces. They experimented with constructivist approaches and the elemental typography. Their most notable fonts include the Universal font by Herbert Bayer, and Futura by Paul Renner, which became one of the most successful typefaces of the last hundred years. ⠀

In the last five years, we’ve seen several brands adopt these kinds of typefaces, including Airbnb, Google, Yahoo, and Spotify. Which in a way has made them all look pretty similar—it's like everybody is copying each other. Lol.

Here are some of my favorite geometric sans, in no particular order.
