We are seeking a programme assistant to help innovators get their products to patients faster; to improve outcomes, lower costs and build the UK’s health and life science economy. Joining a team of five, the post holder will manage a range of projects to support clinical, academic and commercial innovators to prepare their products for widespread scale and adoption.
This highly interactive event will be a mix of inspiring speakers and an exhibition of ready-to-go QI focused innovations for health and social care.
Previously open only to Q Members, we now have an exciting opportunity for general registration, as we have a limited number of places still available for this event.
You will also be able to meet innovators, and view and try exciting innovations which have been designed to save the NHS time and money, enhance patient pathways and, most importantly, improve patient care. This will include exciting diagnostic innovations and many apps and platforms to help health and social care innovations. Most of these innovations are ready to use in the NHS, or looking for evaluation in NHS settings as part of research projects.
We have developed a new search function on our website, which brings together all of the innovations which have been identified at a national level as being ready to be picked up, and adopted.
The innovations can be searched by the type, the specialism, or the national scheme which they are a part of.
Thinking Differently: Ageing Well & Frailty Conference 2020
As we head into the World Health Organization's decade of Healthy Ageing (2020-2030), and the frailty aspects of the Long-Term Plan (2019) begin to be realised, the focus of frailty and ageing well has never been greater and we will all be challenged to think differently.
The conference will bring national and local leaders, together with innovators, showcasing how they are thinking differently to transform services and health and social care provision.
Matthew Winn will be the keynote speaker at the conference.

Innovation Exchange to tackle NHS challenges around antimicrobial resistance
A search has been launched to find innovative technologies that will support health and social care workers to overcome the challenges of tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
Increasing rates of AMR is one of the major threats to human health. In January 2019 the UK government published a 5-year action plan and a 20-year vision , building on the achievements of the 2013-2018 5-year plan. Current plans include reducing drug-resistant infections by 10% by 2025, reducing antibiotic use in humans by 15%, and reducing gram negative blood stream infections.
Submission deadline: 31st January 2020.
Applications will be reviewed and those shortlisted will be invited to present to a panel of industry experts. Successful innovators from the call will receive bespoke assistance and a financial award.
