Lindale Baptist Church Starts Bible Club Outreach

The West Clermont School District will have its first Good News Club. Pastors and members of Lindale Baptist Church are starting a club at an elementary school close to their church, Amelia Elementary.
The ball got rolling when church members George and Cathy Vandergriff talked to Pastor Kyle about Good News Club. They had been wanting to minister in the local schools for many years and even contacted to school district about being in their themselves. When they discovered Good News Clubs, they were overjoyed to have finally found an organization to partner with that ministers in public schools.

On Saturday, January 25th the team met at church for basic training led by Good News Club Coordinator, Carolyn Horton and CEF trainers Betsy O'Kresik and Ruth Boyatt. Training moved fast and while all topics weren't covered in one day the basics were covered. The church is looking forward to more training in the future and online training options.

CEF's Good News Club curriculum for a school year includes four six-week series and there is four years of material totaling of sixteen series.

Christmas Parties Reach Children Not in Clubs

CEF offers a Christmas party curriculum every year that is an excellent way to reach children with the gospel and the real meaning of Christmas.
The Lebanon club at Donovan Elementary has held these parties during the last club meeting before Christmas break for the past six years. By December many children in club understand that Jesus is the only way to have their sins forgiven and be with the Lord now and forever. They want to invite their friends to come and hear the Good News and learn what Christmas is really about. It's surprising how many children don't know.
Club members hand out invitations to their classmates with a little "incentive" to come - everyone who attends gets a gift (from the Dollar Store) along with the person who invited them. Some years there are as many as 30 party guests and there are even a few who join the club when school resumes in January.
We pray other clubs consider adding a Christmas party next year.

Third Curriculum Series of the 2019-2020 School Year

In this series children learn that Jesus is all-powerful and each of the six lessons displays His power and glory. Lessons cover the teachings of Jesus, Jesus calming the storm, Jesus feeding the 5,000, Jesus offering hope to a Samaritan Leper, and Jesus revealing His great plan to His disciples through the transfiguration. The series also includes a Penguin review lesson where the major teachings of the previuos five weeks are repeated in a fun-filled party format. The series demonstrates how our all-powerful Savior has made a way for children and adults alike to be forgiven and have a relationship with Him.
