Building Stronger, Healthier Communities Through Land Conservation
Winter Great Maine Outdoor Weekend
Saturday, February 15, 11 AM - 1 PM
Join us at "The River House" (our office in Alfred at 235 Swetts Bridge Road) for some hot soup and winter fun! If there is snow, we will sled the locally famous "Globe" hill and either walk or snowshoe along the picturesque Littlefield River. Indoors we will have a fun activity for kids and grownups, an informative display about invasive hemlock woolly adelgid and red pine scale, and a variety of tasty homemade soups and treats. We had a blast last year, despite the extreme cold and wind, so please come whatever the weather turns out to have in store for us. All are welcome!
Walnut Hill I in the Snow - January 2020
You can reach the Walnut Hill I trail by heading up Elm St. in Springvale until it becomes Walnut Hill Rd. Just after the road turns to dirt, you'll see the Three Rivers sign on the left by the gate. Park along the road and enjoy! A detailed trail map is coming soon.
