IIEL Global Trade Academy: Legal Foundations and New Directions of the Global Trading System, Presented by Georgetown Law’s Institute of International Economic Law (IIEL) 
Georgetown Law’s Institute of International Economic Law (IIEL) is running the 14th Global Trade Academy (GTA) this winter, from February 10-14, 2020. The Global Trade Academy is a pillar of IIEL's Executive Education program with over a decade of experience in training government, NGO, international organization, and private sector leaders.  Joining with colleagues from around the globe, GTA cohorts examine the legal foundations of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and its agreements, with a deep dive into the most cutting-edge global trade issues of the day.  

GTA cohorts ask the tough questions and examine:

  • Today’s hot-button international trade issues and events
  • The WTO’s future prospects, including the future of the Appellate Body
  • How the WTO relates to other global institutional and transnational commercial actors, agreements, and negotiations.

Mindfulness for Success with Ishan Shivanand

Please join the Association of Women in International Trade (WIIT) for a Mindfulness for Success session on March 4th from 4:00 – 5:00 PM. The session will be taught by Ishan Shivanand. Ishan is a performance coach who specializes in training executives in productivity enhancement strategies and mindfulness-based stress reduction modalities. Ishan’s breathing protocols will aim to help us flush out accumulated mental and emotional debris and bring in a rush of positive energy so essential to our daily lives.

The breathing protocols Ishan will teach us aims to: 

  • Decalcify and activate the pineal gland (the seat of intuition) and expand our consciousness and awareness.
  • Help us make peace with our past, release unwanted memories and break self-imposed limitations.
