2019/2020 Ballot for NAASC
The following is the slate of candidates for the upcoming election.
●      President Elect: 3 applicants (Husniyah Dent Bradley, C’87, 
        Daria N. Valentine, C’2000, Nicole Williams, C’2000)
●      Corresponding Secretary: 1 applicant (Rhonda Waller, C’91)
●      Treasurer: 1 applicant (Sheryl (Sherry) McNeil, C’79 )
●      Assistant Treasurer: 1 applicant (Cassandra Morgan, C’82)
 
Please adhere to the guidelines for campaigning below.
 
Campaign Rules
The NAASC Facebook page nor the NAASC Twitter account may not be used for campaigning.
 
Candidates or supporters may not post or tag candidate photos or messages on the national social media accounts or regional social media accounts.
 
NAASC Chapters that choose to post candidate information on their chapter websites or chapter social media should include a statement, “There are other candidates on the slate for NAASC national officers. You may view the candidate profiles on the NAASC website at www.naasc.org.” 
 
Candidates are permitted to use their personal Facebook, Twitter and other personal social media accounts for campaigning.

Official 2020 National Election Notice: Write-In Submission and Election Process
This is an official notice for anyone that would like to be considered as a write-in candidate for the 2020 NAASC National Elections.  Election ballots will be distributed in early March via email unless a member has requested a paper ballot. You may submit write-in candidates for the following positions:
1.    President-Elect
2.    Corresponding Secretary
3.    Treasurer
4.    Assistant Treasurer
5.    Member-at-Large East
6.    Member-at-Large West
 
Write-ins must be submitted by email to the Elections Chair, Kimberly Forde C’90 at elections@naasc.org  or to NAASC, P.O Box 2981, Durham NC 27715 by February 20, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.  Your email request must include the following: 1) Position/Office you are seeking; 2) Full Name; 3) Class Year; 4) Mailing Address and Zip Code; 5) Email Address; 6) Phone Number; and 100-word statement (in Microsoft Word or a Google Doc format please).

Note that all candidates must be an alumna of Spelman College, meet the office/position guidelines as described in the NAASC Constitution and Bylaws (www.naasc.org, under “Resources & Forms”), and have been an active member of the NAASC in good standing who has paid dues for two consecutive years prior to nomination or is a life member. Candidates for the President-Elect position must also be graduates of Spelman College not less than five years standing.   The Credentials Committee will verify write-in candidates. Once that is completed then the Official ballots will be created. 

Once all names have been certified according to the NAASC Constitution and Bylaws, ballots will be distributed.  The NAASC Journal of Sisterhood will also be used to share information about the Election.
