Free Columbia ART DISPERSAL

Saturday February 22 from 5-8pm
at Lightforms Art Center
off Warren at 743 Columbia Street

This Art Dispersal will benefit Diata Diata’s
FIREDANCE July 2020
Diata Diata’s annual, free, community theater project.

There will be over 30 paintings by Laura Summer for dispersal.
As an experiment in our ongoing attempts to de-commodify art, Free Columbia is running an art dispersal.

You can become the steward of a painting, which means that you can live with it for as long as you like, you can pass it along to someone else who wants it, (please let us know who it is), and if you no longer want to keep it, you can return it to the artist who created it. Donations to support the work and Diata Diata will be accepted.

Diata Diata's annual  performance is a compilation of folktales and stories originating in the First Nation communities of this region, featuring the Iroquois Federation, and their remarkable sharing of ancestral teachings.
These lessons of life transcend generations, and provide the basis for our reciprocal rapport of giving and receiving, through appreciation of the forces of nature, and our link with the essential spirit energy which serves to guide and protect us in this global community as citizens of the world.
