There's lots to do at the library this month...

Greetings! We've got so much going on at the library this month.

First, an important announcement: work begins on our new HVAC (heating and cooling) system the first week of February. Soon we will have better climate control, which is good news for chilly patrons and staff alike!

Among other things, we are rebuilding the HVAC and garbage/recycling enclosure out back, and installing external units next to the building along the alley. You can expect some temporary closures of the back parking lot on Maple Street, which will periodically block access to the back door and outside book drop. The alley may be partially blocked at times, too. We will do our best to notify you when these closures are coming, but we appreciate your patience during this work! The front parking lot and entry, as well as the inside book drop, will be unaffected.

Check out a wide array of programs in February, from live theater and music to author visits. See below for details.

This month's theme for the Siuslaw Reading Challenge is, appropriately, romance novels. (Don't worry, they've come a long way since the bodice-ripper cover days.) Check out our display for every type of reader, whether you like steamy or sweet, historical or contemporary, funny or dramatic.

And speaking of love, Blind Date with a Book is back! Check out a wrapped book and discover your perfect match. Then review your book for a chance to win fabulous prizes.

See you at the library!
