Dear Friends of Corey and China,

As you may know, on December 3rd, Corey Fischer was taken to the local ER with what was diagnosed as a brain bleed in the area of the brain responsible for critical involuntary processes such as movement and breathing. On December 6, a surgical team at UCSF removed the source of the bleeding successfully.

During these many weeks, China has coordinated care and has been meditating and praying at his bedside. From the beginning there has been an outpouring of love and help from many quarters, all of which has been deeply appreciated.

Corey's full physical recovery is estimated to take 12–18 months. Even with insurance and Medicare, Corey and China will be responsible for some part of the vast cost incurred.

At present, one of the best ways we can show Corey and China our support is by helping with their living expenses and medical costs via GoFundMe (click on the blue links) where more than $20,000 has already been raised.

If you wish to communicate your well-wishes, you can join Corey’s site on CaringBridge. Or cards may be mailed to 907 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Kentfield, CA 94904.

If you'd like to hear further updates about Corey, including when he could receive friendly visits, you can sign up to receive them on CaringBridge or by making a donation on GoFundMe.

Thank you all for your support.
