Old Farts kicking cancer game

Watch the video here

A perfect day for cricket greeted the 28 participants (and 2 umpires) in the 'old farts kicking cancer' game on Sunday.

What a great day it was. Plenty of familiar faces both on and off the field made for a fun game of cricket and an even better catch up afterwards.

Scooter Mitchell took the game way too seriously.
Tony Globan took 3 wickets but was also bowled 3rd ball.
Mick Neal was clearly the bloke with the most rust, he dropped a pie and made a golden quaker.
Highlight of the day was the Classic catch by Wayne ‘Sparrow’ McInnes for his one handed pluck in slip.

A big congratulations must go out to Wayne Taylor for organising this event it was just a superb day and we look forward to growing it in the years to come

We are also very privileged to be the final leg of the journey that RPBCC premiership player Craig Dodson has embarked on in his quest to raise money and awareness of Mens health.

The view of Australia from fine leg – One man’s quest to travel Australia playing cricket and raising funds for charity
A worldwide first of an individual strapping on the pads and playing for 10 different cricket clubs across Australia in the one unique cricket season.

The story of Craig Dodson’s audacious attempt to travel the country playing the game he loves, while raising valuable funds for the Gotcha4Life Men’s Mental Health Foundation.

Craig Dodson is a 1's premiership player at RPBCC and we could not be any more prouder to support this project
