Happy Birthday, Rendering Unconscious Podcast!

Since it is the 2 year anniversary of the launch of the first episode, I'm going to highlight all the guests who have been on twice!

You can support the podcast at our Patreon

Irish Lacanian psychoanalyst Ray O'Neill was our first guest, with his lecture from our first Psychoanalysis, Art & the Occult conference, London 2016: RU1 on Lacan, Dali & What's in a Name?

Then I interviewed Ray later on for RU20!

Next we have yours truly! For RU4, I talk about the Father Figure or Third Position in Psychoanalysis.

Then for RU37 I present The Crusade Against Magical Thinking, given at our second conference Re-writing the Future.

Then there's Carl Abrahamsson! First his presentation from PsychArtCult, London, RU7 "Formulating the Desired: on the Similarities between Psychoanalysis and Ritual"

Then Carl presents RU44 "Intuition as a State of Grace"

RU14 is an interview with Professor Todd McGowan.

Then I speak with Todd again for RU39, specifically about his chapter on the Signification of the Phallus from the Reading Lacan's Ecrits series.

Professor Dany Nobus has two episodes, not because I've interviewed him twice but because we talked for so long! Enjoy Part 1: RU24.

And Part 2 of our discussion: RU25.

Visual anthropologist and artist Ethan Clarke has two episodes as well: The first is RU34, his lecture from Re-writing the Future.

Then I followed up with an interview with him, RU35.

AND I've turned two of Nicolas Evzonas' lectures into podcast episodes: RU40 “The Truth of Gender: Psychoanalysis’ Unthinkable Trauma,” presented in Stockholm, May 2019.

And RU56 “Enigmatic signifiers waiting for translation: an overinclusive metapsychology of gender and sexualities by Jean Laplanche,” presented in Buenos Aires, October 2018.

And of course don't miss my discussion with publisher Carl Abrahamsson of Rendering Unconscious: Psychoanalytic Perspectives, Politics and Poetry (Trapart 2019), RU28.

I hope you're enjoying the podcast and that this opens the door to some episodes you may not have heard. All the guests have been wonderful, everyone has such unique perspectives to share! Thanks to everyone who has been involved and to all of you for your support. Looking forward to year 3!
