Hello Church Family,
We are currently 19 days into our '40 days of prayer and fasting' as a church. If you are following along in our APP or using the prayer guide you know that today we prayed for our prayer ministry. Would you take a moment right now (if you haven't) and pray for all of our prayer ministers and intercessors as they seek God on our behalf? I thank God that we are a praying church and I am even more thankful that God listens to us and responds as we pray - Amen?!
I am sure it can be annoying to hear me say this again and again, but I will say it anyways - I love our church. I love you. I consider it one of the greatest privileges of my life to pastor this church. We are a people ON MISSION with Jesus to make disciples of ALL NATIONS. We do this together and we need everyone to play their part in order to accomplish the assignment that God has given to us as a church. With that said, it was exciting to see 57 people attend our first "Introduction to NWC" gathering (which is step one of membership). We will have another one in a few months so don't worry if you missed it. If you took the 'intro' class and want to sign up for our membership class on March 22nd you can do so by clicking HERE!
In the announcement section below you will see many great things going on around NWC. You may notice something new that we are doing which is called "OFF THE RECORD." I realize that I run the risk of further busying our lives by asking you to attend another meeting but I think that we are still in a season where it's important that we get to know each other better. These meetings are specifically designed for me to share my heart, answer questions and hear thoughts or comments from you. I have a sacred obligation to hear from, share with and serve our church and this all starts with healthy communication and my hope is that these gatherings will facilitate that. I would love it if you can come to this, especially if you have questions. I am glad to share anything about me, our church, our future, and my current processing as we engage this new year with new things ahead. This gathering will be next Wednesday (Jan 29th) at 7pm in the auditorium and it will not be recorded or live-streamed which is why we are calling it OFF THE RECORD. I hope to see you there!

MISSIONS FAIR WEEKEND
January 25/26
Do you want to learn more about the missions and outreach opportunities available at NWC? Next weekend is Missions Fair Weekend! We will highlight mission opportunities, hear testimonies from team leaders, and interview a missionary during our service. Join us in the gym after each service to meet team leaders and ask questions about how you can serve others in our church, community, and world.
PRE-MARRIAGE CLASS
Saturday, Jan. 25 | 8 am - 4:30 pm | banquet room
One of the smartest decisions any couple can make before getting married is to have pre-marriage preparation. Couples who take a season to invest in their relationship will have better communication skills, gain wisdom in healthy relationships, and have an opportunity to address issues prior to their wedding day. OFF THE RECORD
Wednesday, Jan. 29 | 7 pm | auditorium
Join Pastor Ben for an evening of candid conversation about where we are and where we are going as a church. During these gatherings, Pastor Ben will share his heart for the church as well as take questions from the congregation. This will be a great opportunity to get to know your lead pastor in an open and honest forum as we seek unity and clarity together. No registration necessary. Childcare is not available for this event.
WOMEN’S RETREAT
February 21-23 | Glacier Peak Lodge
Only one more weekends to register for Women’s Retreat! Please come and join us for this year’s retreat, Hope. We have several dynamic speakers who will be encouraging us, among whom are Darvi Mack, Kirsten Root, and Laurel Hopkins. STEPHEN MINISTRY TRAINING

Is God nudging you to increase your empathy, compassion and interpersonal skills as you minister to those around you? If so, consider this 5-week class. At the end of the training, you will be eligible to apply to be a Stephen Minister, who offer one-on-one care for one hour each week to someone going through a life challenge. Cost: $125, includes lunch. You must be a regular attendee of Northwest Church with the intent of becoming a member before June 13 to take this class. For more information, contact Craig at ext. 205.
