News

Grade 8 Transformation Workshops

An important part of the Grade 8 Orientation Programme was an introduction to the school’s focus on “A School Where We All Belong”. The Grade 8s learned about Rustenburg’s transformation journey and the idea of inclusion and exclusion. They reflected on the concept of privilege and were also introduced to the school’s four values. 
Please diarise this event on 11 February, open to parents and learners at Rustenburg and the wider community. More information and booking details will follow in a separate email.

LO Matters

  • IE Abroad is hosting representatives from more than 25 top international universities in Cape Town on Thursday 13 February from 2 to 7 p.m. at the V&A Waterfront.  It is a free event and a perfect opportunity  to speak to international universities directly about possibilities for their further studies.   • Crimson Education in Cape Town  presents Oxbridge/UK study application seminar and Essay Writing Workshops for Applications on 30 January 2020. Register to attend these and to find out more from Rebecca Pretorius at  info@crimsoneducation.org
  • Reddam House College, Constantia, is once again hosting their popular annual careers evening, the Careers Expo 2020, on Tuesday, 10 March. Students from all grades are welcome. Download flyer
  • UCT Foundations in Philosophy Course for Grade 10-12 pupils. See Ms Norval to book and for course details. Dates are: 31 March, 7 April and 14 April (8-9:30pm at UCT)
