This Sunday is the beautiful festival of the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple - sometimes called Candlemas. The light continues to shine in the darkness, bringing hope to us all.

Notices and Announcements

Clowne Junior School Prayer Space Monday 10th February
Children from Year 5 at Clowne Juniors are visiting church on Monday 10th February for a ‘prayer space’. If you are able to help with this, please let Bryony know. It involves running a ‘prayer station’ and engaging with primary age children - it is very rewarding! There are 2 sessions: 10.30am and 1.30pm.

Finding Faith Course
We are running a 5 week course in Lent all about what Christians believe. This is open to anyone interested in learning a bit more about the faith (even if you’ve been coming to church for years), there will be the opportunity to be confirmed (if you wish) at the end of the course. It’s a simple course that uses film and discussion to help us explore together. If you are interested, please speak to Rev’d Bryony.

Pilgrim Course - The Eucharist
For more established Christians, there will be a Pilgrim course looking at the Eucharist run during Lent by Veronica Blackwell. This will start on Shrove Tuesday 25th February at 7.30pm at 8, Greenside Close. Please ring Veronica to book your place: 01246 811017.

8th Barlborough Come & Sing Sunday 29th March
We will be hosting the 8th Barlborough Come & Sing at St James' Church on 29 March 2020 . We would be delighted if you would join us. Music: Olivet to Calvary (Maunder) and Vivaldi's Gloria No charge. Rehearsals from 2.15pm Performance from 6pm Anyone able to come is asked to please contact Gordon Stables via email: west.knoll@googlemail.co.uk
