Massachusetts Council of Churches Annual Meeting
Saturday, January 25, 2020
10 am - 2:30 pm
Reservoir Church, 170 Rindge Ave., Cambridge MA
Parking and Travel Information

We will begin our meeting with a report from Rev. Laura Everett, our Executive Director, outlining the work of the council over the past year, and looking toward the future.  Does your organization need help thinking about setting and tracking goals?  Join us for this conversation!

We will join in prayer from the Week of Prayer of Christian Unity together, followed by time to connect with ecumenical partners, exploring new resources for story sharing and community building—are these skills you need in your own context?  Join us and be equipped!

Finally, from 1-2:30, we will hear a culminating report from Jane Redmont, who has been serving this fall as Project Scholar on a research project in our archives, funded by a gift from Mass Humanities and the Mass Cultural Council.

MATE Feb. 21-23 Event:
"Snow-lympics" at Camp Wilmot

The theme for the weekend will be "Footprints" and we plan to spend time with Psalm 77: 19 "Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen." It will be a time of reflecting together about the way God and other people in our lives have had an impact in guiding and shaping us and then asking ourselves what kind of footprints we want to leave in the lives of those around us. A nature lesson is planned, and also time for sledding, cookie making, an art activity, scavenger hunt, and bible study. Cost is $100. Click here to register.

This trip is open to clergy and others engaged in pastoral ministry. While no previous wilderness or camping experience is required, you must be in good physical condition. The better prepared you are physically the better experience you will have spiritually. The theme, including fireside chats, will focus on the book The Importance of Being Foolish by Brennan Manning. You will be responsible for purchasing and reading the book before the trip. Full information can be found on our website
