Epic Middle School Update
Epic Charter presented a material revision for public hearing during the Board meeting on November 12, 2019. On January 21, Education for Change’s Chief Executive Officer Hae Sin Thomas requested that the Epic Material Revision be pulled from the January 28 agenda until Education for Change has further discussions with the Oakland Unified School District and the Achieve Academy community to determine the best possible plan moving forward.  Staff will present findings from the review of the material revision at the January 28 Board Meeting. You can review the letter by clicking here.

ACOE recognized three students at Camp Sweeney on Wednesday in a Packed for Success celebration.  The students have successfully completed the Camp program and will be transitioning back to their home districts.  The Packed for Success initiative was first launched by Trustee McDonald and students continue to benefit from the generous gifts of backpacks and supplies.
