Science, Creation, and the Power of Stories

with Mr. Duane Caldwell

Duane Caldwell - click for bio

Are people truly free to believe? Americans are fond of our freedoms: Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc. What about the freedom to believe that which is true? Do we have that freedom? The answer is a mitigated "yes". Come find out how the stories we accept as true affect our deepest held beliefs.

Creation Science on the Streets: Sharing the Creation Gospel in a Pagan Culture

with Mr. Ralph Davis

Mr. Ralph Davis

Why, in this "scientific" age, is the Gospel of Christ becoming increasingly hard for people to believe? How do we evangelize a culture that no longer accepts Biblical authority? Come discover one of the most powerful means of evangelism for today's world, that you can use to reach our once-Christian culture.

For several years, Ralph and a few others have been sharing information about creation and science with students outside of high schools. At times, school administrators have informed him that this is illegal. In response, he has shown them the legal decisions concerning free speech on public sidewalks: free speech still exists!

Video from January Meeting:
Does 'Yom' always Mean 'Day'?

MCF's January 2020 meeting with John C.P. Smith

Could Creation Week have been billions of years long? The Hebrew word "yom ("day") occurs no less than 15 times in the creation account in Genesis 1:1-2:4. Many theologians believe it has a wide range of meanings. Why? How flexible is "yom"? And does it really matter?
There are more events here! ...And more videos here!

Normally, MCF's meetings are on the first Monday of the month and the next day -- except around holidays, such as Labor Day.  Locations are in Lindenhurst and Carol Stream, Illinois, and we're opening a new third location south of Chicago. We do not charge, but a freewill offering would be appreciated, to help with expenses. Everyone is welcome!
