Arroyo Vista Waste Audit

Drop by the UCI Arroyo Vista Lawn across from the garden on Wednesday, Jan. 29. Engage with our Waste Audit team from 8:30 - 10:30 AM.

We check our waste diversion rates each quarter to see how much waste we are diverting away from the landfill through composting and recycling. Residents should bring ALL their waste and recyclable material out to the correct in hall bins ahead of the weigh-ins. Food waste compost will be collected from hall kitchens.

reCycle Bike Fair

UCI Transportation removes abandoned bikes from the campus and after a 30-day holding period, these bikes are made available for sale at low cost to the campus and the community through the reCycle Fair. The reCycle Fair is held at Lot 90 in North Campus between 11:00 am – 1:00 p.m., at the corner of Campus Drive and Jamboree Road on January 29, 2020.

Climate Solutions Conference



The Climate Solutions Conference will bring our community together to learn and discuss existing climate change mitigation strategies. Folks will have a chance to attend smaller follow up events and to stay connected through social media.

Topics covered will include reforestation, regenerative agriculture, soil management, blue carbon, pros and cons of various forms of alternative energy, carbon capture, risks and potential of geo engineering proposals and individual changes to everyday behaviors and #lifestyle. Outdoor Adventure




Another urban adventure so don't wait! Jump on board and be part of the adventure. This time to Joshua Tree National Park for some hiking, fun rock hopping and great photograph opportunities! Coachella Nature Preserve to see an actual desert oasis and Pioneertown are two other fun spots we will visit along the way.
