Life With Cats and Art February 2020
Happy to wish you a happy New Year and hope we all will have a fruitful and healthy year ahead. On to new beginnings! That's my New Year's Resolution. Not easy to start after battling health issues but the only way is to just begin and keep on going.
The ginger boys are doing great and never fail to surprise me. In my Life With Cats and Art April newsletter I talked about how you must give a new relationship a chance when you bring a new cat into your home. It will evolve and change slowly. It's impossible to judge from a couple of weeks how it will go.
Casey has really come out of his shell. He likes to stretch out alongside me now and is finally relaxed and loves to be petted. Red is always into something. He discovered the storage drawers at the bottom of the washer and dryer. He pulls them open and makes himself comfortable among the old towels and rags.

Last newsletter I mentioned my first designs went live on Amazon. The Popsockets are doing well. If you have a request for one of my images or a pet portrait I have done for you just let me know. The Cat Crew

"This handsome, long haired tuxedo cat sat atop the bags of grout and cement. He was definitely in charge! The rest of the cat crew waited patiently for him to decide if it was time for a nap or time to get busy."
This painting was inspired by a photo I took of Skeeter, who died too young and is missed by all who knew him. He was a very special cat. The photo is called "Cat Ready to Work". As many have pointed out, he really looks ready to observe only.

The Cat Cafe

"The Cat Cafe is simply a cat's delight. A cat hangout with all their favorite things from catnip to sushi. The Chef cat is not too happy with the two kittens climbing around the fishy gelato bar."
This painting was only inspired by imagination and took many months to work out the concept and finally, the painting. There is a favorite italian restaurant with a gelato bar in the back. I took many reference photos of the gelato bar with people wondering what I was doing. Drove my friends crazy as I stood at all angles snapping away. What did we do before phone cameras?
