Beaver Lake Loppet & Volunteer Pancake Lunch
Sunday, February 23rd, 10:30 start at our Beaver Lake Trails

This is our way of thanking volunteers for all their hard work throughout the season. If you've leant a hand at the club, however big or small, come out and enjoy a free loppet and pancake breakfast!
The event is also open to members and non-members. No registeration or entry fee (donations accepted).

Family Day Ski Party
Monday, February 17th from 11 AM - 4 PM

Bring the whole family and enjoy fun games, obstacle courses, s'mores and hot dogs over the fire! The food is free and there are family day deals on equipment rentals and trail passes; $70 for a family of 3 (extra members, $15 each)
Night Lights Race Series: Event #3 & #4
Tuesday, February 11th - Skiathlon
Tuesday, March 3rd - Headlamp Race

Come out to the third and fourth installments of our Night Lights Race Series. Bring your skate skis and your classics on February 11th because this one's a skiathlon. March 3rd, the series wraps up with a headlamp race. Register online or at the chalet starting at 6:15 PM on race nights and races start at 7. Post-race snacks and draw prizes and awards are handed out after, and it all wraps up well before 9! Hope to see you there!

Awesome day for Walden Nordic Racers on Day 2, of Ontario Cup 2 in Thunder Bay. Max Mahaffy 1st and Kendyn Mashinter 3rd U18 Boys. 
Also 3rd for Patrick Wiss U16 Boys and 1st for Callum Wiss U12 Boys! 
 
Racing Team Update
Head Coach, Marlee Clement 

January has been a very busy month for our racing team! The team started off 2020 with a bang at the Thunder Bay Ocup. Max Mahaffy took the leader bib by the end of the weekend. Callum Wiss took home three gold medal, Patrick Wiss and Kendyn Mashinter also took home another two Ocup medals each. Next stop was North Bay for Ontario Cup 3, which was also the qualifiers for Ontario Winter Games in Barrie at the end of February. All 11 athletes who were eligible to qualify for Ontario Winter Games did! Congratulations to Patrick Wiss who took home his first Ontario Cup gold and also Callum Wiss who took home gold each day in North Bay.

Bunnies, Jackrabbits and Track Attack are in full swing! We've even had great turnouts in the Jackrabbit categories at our club races.

Woolly Hippo Loppet 2020

It was wonderful as always to see our club members outside and active in our community! Thank you to all the volunteers; groomers, food, timing, stadium, chalet, starters, race office, media, announcers and sponsors...no matter how big or small your contribution, a successful race like this doesn't happen without you. Walden can be proud of offering yet another quality race!  RACE RESULTS
