Give to the Welcome and Discovery Center Campaign

Starts Today - Runs through Sunday!

This is our 5th year! Our event is co-sponsored by the Friends of Lovers key and the Bonita Springs Rotary Club.

We are located at the Lover's Key event field next to the boat ramp. For the attendee, we are a relaxing, easy event to come participate in. We are at the state park by the beach, not in a downtown or airport location. No shuttle -  easy and free parking. It makes for a relaxing, fun filled day!

And as non-profits –  a small, $5 donation is requested. We are a nonprofit event, not commercial like most boat shows and markets.

This year we will have 5 boat dealers and some 65 vendors offering all kinds of goods from fishing gear to clothing and jewelry. Anchoring our show is a major seafood offering – fully 60 feet of fresh seafood from paella to shellfish and fresh fillets. Add ice cream and kennel corn and of course, fresh beer!

The hours are 9-5 Fri and Saturday and 9-4 on Sunday, 1/24, 25 and 1/26.

Second Songwriters at Sunset is February 6!

2020 Songwriters at Sunset Free Acoustic Concert / Food Truck Event

Friends of Lovers Key (FOLKS) has joined with the Americana Community Music Association (ACMA), to offer a series of monthly Free Acoustic concerts of all original music.

Now in our 5th season, the concerts take place in the large gazebo located right on the beach. Seating on the gazebo is available for the first 80 people. Additional seating is also available on the sand.

Prior to the start of the concert, FOLKS will be hosting Food Truck Vendors serving food truck specialties and soda, wine and beer.  A portion of the proceeds from the food and beverage sales will go towards the future Welcome and Discovery Center at Lovers Key State Park.

The February 6 concert will feature 3 food trucks- Brit Pit, Haney’s Catering, and Royal Scoop.  The food trucks will start serving 1 hour prior to the concert start time.

FEES: Free with paid park entry fee.
Park entry fees are $8 for vehicles (2-8 people), $4 for single person in vehicle, $2 for pedestrian/bicyclist.
