Important Update: 2020 Conference Location Will Change

Due to a fire last week at the CWRA 2020 Conference Venue, the Clarion Hotel in Kenora, Ontario, the conference team is working to secure a new venue in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This may include a change to the timing of the conference, originally scheduled for June 1 – 4, 2020.

Our team understands how this uncertainty may impact your travel plans and ability to participate in the conference. We assure you that we are working hard to provide additional details once we have them.

Please visit the conference website for further updates. We will continue to provide information as it becomes available via our website, through social media and through CWRA’s newsletters.

At this time, we are also extending the abstract submission deadline until February 14th.

We will ensure that once the new plans are confirmed, people who submit an abstract will be notified to determine whether they need to edit or withdraw their submission based on the new location and schedule.

For more information on how to submit abstracts, as well as our abstract submission categories, as well as how to submit workshop proposals, visit our Abstract Submission site page.

Volunteer with CWRA National: Short French Translations

Speak French and English and looking for a volunteer position with CWRA? CWRA National is looking for occasional assistance translating short items, like social media posts and events descriptions, into French. We would provide you with text in English, or a draft French translation and ask you to take a quick look. Amount of work would depend on the types of events we have going on, and the number of volunteers available, but would average once or twice a month. If you are interested, please let Meg Olson know at manager@cwra.org.
