Parent Update
January 27-31, 2020

January 27   Kicking off National Catholic Schools' Week with 10:30 student-led Mass; all encouraged to attend.
Knights of Columbus Free Throw competition, 2pm in the gym (contact Eric Tyler 501.940.3072 for details).

January 27       Living Rosary @ 1:50 pm in the gym for pre-k - 12th grades

January 28      Peewee cheerleading practice after school-4:30pm

Sacred Heart Day of Giving - see information below, please give and your gift can be doubled! Parents invited to lunch from 11am-1pm. Hot dogs will be served to all students and guests.  K-12 students will participate in Mini Courses.

January 30       NCSW service project for Pre-k - 12, 2nd period

January 31        SH vs. Hector (SG, SB, players asked to stay and set up floor mats and tables/chairs for Trivia Night after final game) - K-2 will play between games and peewee cheerleaders will cheer during halftime
Mardi Gras dance for 7-12 grades, 8:30-11pm.

February 1      Trivia Night (do you have your tickets?! - only a couple of tables left!

February 4      SH vs. Rural Special (JB, SG, SB)

February 6      SH @ St. joseph (7B, 7B, JG, JB)

Tuesday:  FREE DAY OF GIVING LUNCH-hot dog, chips, water and a cookie
Wednesday:  Nachos, Corn, Pinto Beans, Salad Bar, Fruit & Milk
Thursday:  Chicken Breast w/Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Roll, Salad Bar, Fruit & Milk
Friday:  Hot Dog, Baked Beans, Fries, Carrots w/Ranch, Salad Bar, Fruit & Milk


 
Daily Breakfast:
$1/breakfast item | $.50/milk or juice
Breakfast bars, poptarts, breakfast burritos, etc may be available on any given morning.

Juniors will be selling snacks Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in the elementary.  All snacks are $1

The SH Jr. High Beta Club racked up at their first ever convention! 

ALL Sacred Heart Junior Beta delegates did SO well this year! Our kids worked hard, and we are so proud of EVERYONE!

2nd Place Vocal Performance-Olivia Peacock, 1st Place Language Arts 7th-Ava Caudell, 1st Place Social Studies 7th-Wade Sommers, 3rd Place Poetry-Drayke Huett, and 1st Place Marketing and Communications-Sydney Koonce, Seth Chapman, Myisa Ibarra, and Briana McCoy!!! Our Quiz Bowl made the finals, too! Sacred Heart had a great 1st experience with Junior Beta this year!! Off we go to Nationals in Ft. Worth we go this summer!!!

PLEASE FOLLOW PICKUP AND DROP-OFF RULES. 
These rules and plans are in place to KEEP ALL STUDENTS SAFE.  DO NOT at any time block the bus entrance and exit.  Elementary pick up - do not enter and park on the road in front of the rectory - only enter St. Vincent Street, pass in front of the pre-k and under the church awning.  Walking across this line of traffic is not safe for our students.

PeeWee cheerleaders - those who cheered at the peewee game are invited to cheer again at during the high school halftime on Friday, January 31st. We will practice Tuesday, January 27th after school until 4:30pm.


EARLY OUT DAYS: Please mark your calendars for the following early out days in 2020.  Dismissing at 1:30 on these days will allow our faculty to work on the ANSAA accreditation process.

There will be an Industry Day in Conway County on February 18. This event is for students interested in learning about the opportunities available in technically skilled professionals. Any student that is interested in attending can sign up with Mrs. Roscoe by Monday, January 27th, at 8:00 am.

$50 – This one-day workshop includes practice sessions on each section of the ACT with a focus on how to avoid common mistakes.
           
  • ACT Prep – Reading/English
2/1/2020 (Saturday) 8:30 am – 11:30 am
$30 – This three hour workshop includes practice sessions on the Reading and English sessions of the ACT with a focus on how to avoid common mistakes.
 
  • ACT Prep – Math/Science
2/1/2020 (Saturday) 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm
This three hour workshop includes practice sessions on the Math and Science sessions of the ACT with a focus on how to avoid common mistakes.
 
You can register for only one 3 hour session ( Reading/ English section or the Math/Science section) or you can register for the first one – the full course that covers both sections at a discounted amount.
