Monthly Message from the Principal
Celebrating, Serving, and Embracing
As we end the month of January, we also end our celebration of Catholic Schools' Week. While this is always a busy and exhausting week, it is also a week FILLED with moments of incarnation and celebration. Here are a few I am particularly grateful for this week:
Seeing the students filled with spirit as the dressed up for each theme.
Celebrating the gift of the arts as our middle school students launch performances of the musical, Narnia.
Serving the winter shelter with our sock and glove drive and serving the food pantry with food donations at the musical.
Embracing the joy that other cultures and music can bring in our Bochinche assembly.
Practicing gratitude as we thanked our our parents with lattes and donuts, as our students wrote thank you notes for the gift of Catholic education, as we recognized the call to vocation and all that our pastors and parishes bring, as classes wrote notes to our neighbors thanking them for supporting our school, and as we recognize all that the faculty and staff do every day for our students and families.
Learning about Native Americans from our 4th graders, about Lego challenges from our Pre-K students, and about student perspectives on ASB from our 8th grade Open House ambassadors.
Praying together in our annual Catholic Schools' Week mass.
Welcoming many new families and many sibling as Pre-K and Kindergarten admissions wrapped up.
As we head into February, we have many more things ahead. From mid-winter break to Valentine's, from the 100th day of school to our first Principal for the Day, from celebrating Black History Month to focusing on Moral Courage in Self-Regulation, from continuing to see the amazing progress on our new building to our annual Pennies for Patients fundraiser, from Monday's Free Dress Food Drive to Ash Wednesday and starting our Lenten journey, February is set to be another busy but productive month at ASB!

Every contribution we receive impacts a student’s education. Your gift helps to fund our exceptional teacher salaries, enrichment programs, specialty classes and more. We’re excited to share that we have raised $340,000 of our $350,000 goal! Thank you to all of our donors and ASB Annual Fund Chairs, David & Tara Uffelman for your support.
