There are different reasons for why we feel sad.
Sadness as a feeling when we think of another's plight or difficult circumstance, suggests our ability to empathize.
Sadness that makes it difficult for us to experience the simple joys of life is more significant, especially if we find our sadness lingering despite our efforts to feel better.
Pay attention if you attempt to ignore or disavow your feelings of sadness; if you mask your feelings by keeping busy, or with a form of distraction.
Consider observing your sadness for a time; allowing yourself to experience your feelings; to see if they reveal for you something that you need to pay attention to.
Sadness for many has been a point of awakening; to illuminate what needs to change; mobilizing us to action.
You may notice how your feelings of sadness shift once you acknowledge them. When you wish to move out of sadness, begin with new thought paradigms, and the decision for how you want to feel.
This gentle meditation is a reminder of your free will choice.
Namaste!
