January 18 is the date of the 4th annual Women's March. Our purpose in joining the national event is to highlight the political power of communities to create transformative social change. Three years of organizing and building community – it's all been leading up to 2020. With your help we have a chance to to join hands across the nation to show this administration our vision of America.

Wyoming Rising's vision for America: civil rights, affordable health care, quality education, participation in public policy, and government accountability.

We will begin at Cody City Park (908 Sheridan Ave.) at 11 am., we will march through downtown Cody returning to the park. Speakers, music, and refreshments will provide inspiration after the march. In the event of inclement weather, the speakers and refreshments may be moved to the Christ Episcopal Church in Cody.

This is the fourth annual Women's March that Wyoming Rising has sponsored. This year’s theme, “March for a Better America” will address the problems and opportunities we face across our country. Speakers will focus on immigration, education, the proposed ICE detention center in Evanston, and other topics related to Wyoming Rising's mission statement.

Please mark your calendars for January 18.

Pledge to stand together.  We can make 2020 the year we return our country to a representative democracy –- of the people, by the people, and for the people.
