Venture capital investment in French companies exceeds €5 billion

France is Europe's fastest-growing top-tier startup ecosystem, measured by relative growth in the number of unicorns, future unicorns and number of rounds. In 2019, venture capital investment will have just exceeded €5 billion, a new record by absolute amount and absolute increase (€1.6 billion). Six new unicorns emerged in 2019: Meero, eFront, Doctolib, Dataiku, Kyriba, ivalua. And just this week, Qonto became the first new French unicorn in 2020.
