ANNOUNCEMENTS

President’s column

February & March General Meetings
The February 4th topic will be about different ways people keep track of their bonsai such as on a device or in a notebook. Bring your own "notebook" if you have one!

The March 3rd meeting topic will be plant physiology by Sue Everts. She will explain plant responses to the environment. Because trees can’t move, they have other ways to maximize growth—for instance hormones to bend toward the light, ways to sense day-length to determine time of year, and structures to sense gravity.

There are some plans for expanding what resources are available during general meetings. Also, we will have a general discussion about what topics MBS members would like to see covered in the following 1-2 years.
