We upgraded 81 UNMS servers to ver 1.1.2

As part of our service, we regularly test new Stable releases of UNMS and keep your server up-to-date.

After this update, we pushed out a setting to stop the UNMS servers from scanning for Ubiquiti devices (on the internet) by disabling Settings > Devices > Discovery Settings > Scan from UNMS. This new feature was causing some of our servers to crash during testing of the update because the "Discovered Devices" section was filling up with devices discovered on the internet by UNMS.


 
We've also made a number of improvements to our UNMS cloud hosting platform recently:
  • Removed our support Admin accounts
  • Rewrote our nightly backup script to use SSH instead of the admin accounts
  • Automated our UNMS upgrade process

Did you know you can use your own domain name for your UniFi server? Simply ping your server address to get the IP address, then create an A record on your DNS provider with your custom name. When done, let us know and we can issue a new SSL certificate for your server.
