The New Economy Initiative (NEI), in partnership with Model D Media, is excited to announce the Startup Story Night 2020: “In Good Company” event!

When it comes to success, is there really such a thing as being “self-made”? Despite the popular phrase, it’s safe to say no one achieves their definition of success without an assist from someone (family, friends, mentors, etc.), or something (environment, experience, etc.), along the way.

Four local entrepreneurs will take the stage at Cliff Bell's on March 19, 2020, to perform stories of the people, places and things that helped put (or keep) them on the path to success.
Shannon Cason, host of the In Good Co. Detroit podcast and Moth GrandSlam champion, will work with each of the storytellers in advance of the event!

Send in your submission by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, for a chance to present at this year’s storytelling event!

January 21, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Five presenters this month take the stage for ten minutes each, five minutes to demo and five minutes to answer questions, followed by open announcements and community networking. E-mail organizers at a2newtech.org if you'd like to present!

Accounting Aid is hosting its 2nd Annual Tax Preparation Bonanza! Small Business owners will be given tools, digital resources, and guidance on navigating and preparing their year-end numbers for tax filing! A light dinner will be served.

Detroit Startup Week (#DETSW20) is pleased to open the call for submissions for the 2020 Detroit Startup Week festival! Nominations are open to the public. Any individual person, group, company or organization may submit a program. There is no fee to host a program.
