Your students will soon start preparing for student led conferences, which are scheduled for February 11 and February 13. Students will walk parents through their schedule and share what is happening in each of their classes through a portfolio.This process provides opportunities for students to prepare and reflect on the learning process. Student led conferences encourage students to take responsibility for their learning through their involvement in the process. The conferences also engage families in a richer dialogue than a typical parent teacher conference. This video is a great example of what to expect from our middle school student led conferences.
