PARENT REMINDER: Schools are closed Monday, January 20, 2020. Drama Kids classes will not be in session!
Here at Drama Kids, we love to shine a spotlight on our awesome students and the amazing talents they bring to class every week!
This week's student spotlights are...
Seungyoon Oh    Seungyoon is a smiling sweetheart! He is patient with all his classmates and loves to be right in the middle of all the FUN!

Asa McConathy    Asa has added such a grounding touch to the class. He brings real life characters to the stage, making his scenes extra intriguing to the audience!

Ellie Hankins    Ellie's smile lights up the room! She moves around the stage light like a fairy while adding just a touch of enthusiasm to her characters so that they are real rather than hammed up!
Victoria Parham    "V" gets along with all her classmates, making her an awesome Director! She has an eye for blocking that always adds to the scene. As an actor, she is willing to volunteer for all roles and any suggestions to make the role BIGGER. This attribute will make Directors excited to work with her!

Esha Patel    Esha is a happy actress who loves to play all different characters from Mom to Photographer. She takes on any character and makes the role SHINE!

Inaya Ahmad    Inaya brings so much JOY to each class! Her sweet, inclusive giggly personality lights up the room!
ACTING ACADEMY
This week in Acting Academy, we decided to go for the gold in our Improv Olympics!  Laughter was heard for miles around during this lesson!  Well...maybe just down the hall.  We warmed up for our Olympic games by walking, flying and floating in the sea!  We then took the Improv Olympic oath and began our first pantomiming game of "Yes, Let's!"  We divided into teams for our main lesson in which we took risks as we created full scenes...with a few parameters.  We ended our day by "Jumping for Joy."  Ask your child how they vocalized their excitement!
LOWER PRIMARY
This week in Lower Primary, we kept the energy and the drama high! We articulated and projected when we performed our tongue twisters about our big, fat Tabby cat and our piping hot popcorn!  Then we polished up our Whole Group Improv on "The School Orchestra." We ended our time together by Wiggalo-ing!  Ask your child what movement they chose for the Wiggalo game!
UPPER PRIMARY
This week in Upper Primary, we got the class rolling with high-energy Intro Activities. Then, we polished our speech skills about the noisy office so that we'll be ready to WOW you during our Parent Presentation! We also practiced memorization, projection, and movement through our performance of Mini Scripts!  Then we focused on our reactions to things other characters say and do in our Whole Group Improv.  Ask your child about their final reaction to their newspaper work getting completed!
