Celebrating the Life of Ram Dass (1931-2019)

"What Will You Do With This Year?"

One of the biggest challenges we often have, with moving forward in life, is knowing what to do. Whether it’s in our work, volunteering, retirement, or relationships, how do we know what would be best for us, and others?

This newsletter is about that:  Ways of preparing ourselves. Listening to our inner wisdom. Bringing our work, life or gifts out in ways that feel right. Growing
hope, and seeing the signs of change around us.

Whatever you do this year, may it be a healing and life-enriching path for you...
and for our world.

Namaste / Shalom / God bless.
Preparing Ourselves:  Online
1. The Goddess Within, quote from Marianne Williamson
"The Goddess doesn't enter us from the outside; she emerges from deep within... She is conceived in consciousness, born in love, and nurtured by higher thinking..."
~ from A Woman's Worth, by Marianne Williamson   (read the full quote here)
2. Love Yourself First, from a Goalcast video: "What I wish I knew as a little girl"
"I had spent my entire life letting other people's perceptions, choices, behaviours, decisions dictate my life... Self love is about believing deep in the core of who you are that you are worthy of love. Instead of trying to fit in; instead of trying to be who everybody else wants you to be, it's up to us to stay true to our own path."
3. On Kindness, a video by Peter Russell, on Karmatube.org
“In any interaction with this person, how can I do my best to make sure that they feel better, as a result of this interaction? That they feel more loved, respected, understood...”
4. Four Ways to Calm Your Mind in Stressful Times, by Emma Seppala,
from Greater Good magazine

Life throws chaos at us on a regular basis—whether it’s our finances, relationships, or health. In the work world, around 50 percent of people are burned out in industries like health care, banking & nonprofits, and employers spend $300 billion per year on workplace-related stress...
5. Work is love made visible, from The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran
"All work is empty save when there is love... And what is it to work with love?
It is to weave the cloth with threads drawn from your heart... It is to build a house with affection... It is to sow seeds with tenderness and reap the harvest with joy... Work is love made visible."
Inner Listening:  Online
1. Prayers for Wisdom and Guidance
Sometimes, as we begin a new day or consider what to do next, it's helpful to have some words to take us deeper into our knowing...
2. Your Intuition Will Whisper To You by Ye Chen, from Medium.com
"Intuition is a 'knowing' that cannot be explained by fact or thought, but through a deep inner feeling... How often have you ignored that knowing little voice because it just didn’t make sense?"
3. 11 Ways to Know Your Intuition & How To Listen by Raven Ishak, bustle.com
(Note: Do NOT click on "Skip all ads". But DO scroll down to the 11 tips - they're quite insightful)
4. Can we trust our feelings, and intuition?, video by Eckhart Tolle
The conditioned mind will often create feelings out of fear, and these should not be the guiding force in your life. Eckhart urges us instead to discover the deeper feelings that arise from Presence—the source of true intuition—and to let that guide your actions.
Taking A Step Forward:  Online

It means giving kids of all stripes access to affordable health care, quality education, affordable, livable housing and all those amenities that are basic to the flourishing of human beings.”
