Hibernate with a Good Book

The wintry weather is a perfect time to snuggle up with a good book or take on that New Year resolution to learn something new.  Start a bullet journal, learn to sew, learn Mahjong, code a video game, or design a 3D project -- Your opportunities at the library await!
Our 2020 Winter Learning program, Hibernate with a Good Book, runs Saturday, January 25th through March 7th, and begins with a special Storytime and the Silly Stuffie Sleepover as we celebrate the first day of the Year of the Rat.  With a theme of hibernation, you can count on learning about the amazing animal world on the Cutter Creativity Wall and some great library challenges and activities in the weeks ahead.  Once again, we are grateful to Charity Lodge of Jaffrey for donating two bikes for our grand prizes for our young readers, as part of their Bikes for Books program.
We look forward to learning new things with you and hope you'll join us.
Please feel free to contact me any time at jperrin@townofjaffrey.com.
Kind regards, Julie M. Perrin, Library Director - a.k.a. Ms. Julie
Thank you to the Library Trustees for our new patron computers and to our IT company, Twin Bridge Services for the seamless installation.
The new machines got a big thumbs up from everyone this week!

Winter Learning Kicks Off with a Weekend of Stuffie Mischief!

Winter Learning registration begins this Saturday, January 25 as we launch the program with a special Silly Stuffie Sleepover. Bring your favorite (or second favorite) stuffie for stories at 10:30 AM, then drop them off for a FULL WEEKEND of fun. Our new weekend timeslot is specially chosen to help working families participate, as well as to give more time for our stuffies to have fun at the library. We'll post pictures throughout the weekend, and you'll get a photobook of memories to take home when you pick them up on Monday.
If your stuffie would like to participate but can't make it for storytime, you can still drop them off anytime before the library closes at 2:00 PM.  (Ollie is looking forward to the company!)
