Finding your right people: the people who get you, support you, and challenge you.

Hi everyone,

We're thrilled so far by the applications we've had to The Wise Women's Council. We have our first 12 people in the group already, and I'm already buzzing with excitement at the women who are joining us. Truly—it's an honor to be in your ecosystem and this is one of my favorite parts of the year.

We interview every single person that joins us, which means these weeks we're on video calls with many of you, getting to know you all and hearing about your work and parenting journeys. For the folks I just interviewed over the last few days, we'll be in touch very soon. And for those of you I'm talking with later this week—can't wait to meet all of you!

This year, we have three coaches, so we'll have several small cohorts of people together and then one big group in the Slack channel. As I interview people, I consider the length of time you've been in business, the work you're doing, and the stage that you're in, and then I match everyone together in groups where I think you'll be appropriately challenged and complemented.

There are also three ways to join the program: in the community mastermind, as part of the deeper dive group coaching program, or to work together with me 1:1 through the rest of the year. If you choose to work with me 1:1, my specialty is in communications clarity, messaging, and storytelling. I'll be working with just a couple of people over the coming year to help elevate your profile and spread your message, whether it's of your own personal thought leadership or of your brand and company.

The three tiers of the program are laid out under "Join Us" on this page—check it out for all the details.

If you haven’t see it yet, check out our book club picks for the year and why we do book club differently. Also, we brought five of the alumni from last year's program onto the podcast to talk about the program and their experience. Listen to us chat about what it means to bring entrepreneurship into your career path (Episode #133), and why more than ever, today's careers involve pivots, twists, and turns along the way (Episode #134).

Plus, check out the bonuses we give to everyone who becomes a member of The Wise Women's Council this year.

Later this week I'll be announcing some of our dreamy new guest teachers we're adding to the line up. We're bringing in people to teach on building a public speaking platform, refining your business model, making selling simpler, and writing newsletters that people actually read—so many good people coming in that I can't wait to share with you.

If you know someone that should join the group, or if you're thinking about joining us, send them here to apply. Remember to get your application in by January 20th for the early bonuses.

My other favorite thing to tell people is that if you’re considering coaching or wanting to be around other women, the answer is already no if you don’t apply. Some years I apply to join several groups and learn so much about myself simply from doing the application process.

Try it and see — that’s the best way to learn (and what our kids teach us.)

Even if you aren't joining my program this year, I trust you to make the best decision for you and your world, right now. My hope for all of you is that you are surrounded by amazing people and you continue to grow in your life, leadership, and work.

This year, beyond The Wise Women's Council, we're focused more than ever on bringing you useful tools and great resources to take your business to the next level and surround yourself with awesome people who want to grow alongside you. Thanks for being a part of the Startup Pregnant community.

Hope all is well,

— Sarah Peck

Career Twists & Turns: Taking An Unconventional Career Path

Careers are rarely linear, and being either an "entrepreneur" or a "corporate worker" is a false dichotomy. More and more, we're seeing people blend career paths and take leaps, make pivots, and adjust along the way. {Listen to the episode}

The Wise Women's Council

Need a place to talk to other smart, curious women about all things life, parenting, and business? Our community mastermind starts in March every year. Applications are now open.
