Renewal #11

Remember when we were kids?
Hey readers, I hope you are alright and that 2020 is treating you well so far. As always, I want to share some things I’ve been thinking about in the last few days.

Back then, life was easier...

Do you remember when we were kids? Everything seemed like an adventure. Going out of the house, playing with random toys, finding a bug in the garden... hell, sometimes even doing chores! Everything seemed like the most wonderful thing in the world because whatever it was, we knew two things: (1) we would be able to learn and discover something from it and (2) we were going to have so much fun!

But then we grew up and... well, the magic disappeared. Most things seem like chores now, especially when it comes to things we didn’t choose: work, school, etc. But just like we discussed a few weeks ago in the newsletter, sometimes we just have to change the way we see the world. We need to find our child spirit back and find a way to enjoy the process more than the end result. As a wise man (that I’m pretty sure you’ll recognize) once said:

"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."

So today, I challenge you: next time your boss or teacher (or mom) ask you to do something that you don’t like, try to find one thing that you can learn from it and how you can have fun!
— What I learned this week
📖  What I'm reading: I'm not reading it yet, but I'm strongly considering making "The Other Einstein" my next week. It's a novel about the story of Mileva Marić, the wife of Einstein, who was just as much as genius as he was. Tell me what you're reading/suggesting by replying to this email!
🧠  What skill I'm learning: If you're interested in Code, this week I followed "The Great Gatsby Bootcamp" by Andrew Mead on YouTube and I learned so much.
📱  One App I'm loving: If you want to learn a new language this year, I would definitely recommend Busuu! I came across it a few weeks ago and I'm absolutely loving it.
— What I created for you this week
Not just one, but two new posts for you this week!
How I've conditionned myself to reach my goals in 2020

Alright, that's all for me this week! If you are new here, could you take a minute to reply to this email and tell me more about you: what are your hobbies and goals for this year? I read and reply to every email!
