  CMP welcomes five new students to the secondary field: Elitza Koeva from the Graduate School of Design; Max Bowens, Pauline Shongov, and Julia Sharpe from Art, Film, and Visual Studies; and Deirdre Moore from History of Science.

  In December we awarded CMP Mellon Fellowships to 22 CMP students totaling $40,000, primarily to support capstone work.

  CMP will host visiting students and faculty from the SACRe doctoral research/arts program at Université Paris Sciences et Lettres, including intensive critique discussions with PSL and CMP students on February 26 and 27.

  Our critique program is developing with regular presentations of capstone works in progress. Upcoming critiques will be posted on our events page. Students interested in critiques of CMP work can email Cozette Russell.

  Save the date for the CMP Capstone Exhibition which will include a cinema program, music performance, and gallery show April 2-8 and an experimental music theatre performance May 8. Read Julia Smachylo's blog post to get a glimpse of a project in process.

OPPORTUNITIES

  This semester's CMP core courses include exciting options such as Sensory Ethnography 1 and 2, Advanced Critical Media Practice, and Sound and Image as Equal Partners in AFVS; Digital Media Performance in TDM; and Sounding Identity in Music.

  The Film Study Center will present workshops this spring on Art Documentation and Basic Color Grading with DaVinci Resolve 16. Stay tuned for other master classes soon to be added with visiting filmmakers! Priority given to FSC fellows and CMP students.

 The Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society is accepting fellowship applications through January 31 to engage in collaborative, cross-disciplinary, and cross-sectoral exploration of compelling issues concerning the Internet.

 Applications for next year's Film Study Center-Harvard Fellowships are due February 14 for Harvard affiliates creating advanced work in film, video, photography, and sound.
