UPDATE

Dear EIT Health Partners and friends,

I hope that everyone has had energetic first weeks of the new decade. We’ve definitely had ones and we are excited about the forthcoming projects, especially those submitted to the Business Plan 2021. This year, 43 innovative projects submitted by InnoStars Partner passed the first filter and will receive our support in the development phase. The best ones - with the strongest business case and almost completed consortia - will also get i360 medical Stage 0 support just like last year. It’s great to see that innovations are flourishing all around InnoStars regions: Hungary, Italy, Poland, and Portugal. The project leaders are starting to work now with experts and our Regional Managers on strengthening their proposals. The best ones will be presented during the official EIT Health Hearings that will take place in June. We have also received very interesting proposals for Education and Acceleration Programmes from our Partners - 36 in total got into the second round. Some of them are recurring editions of the summer schools or bootcamps that were very successful last year, but there are also some new concepts. All in all, it’s not just about the numbers. This is a proven track record that the network and the whole ecosystem of innovators in this part of Europe are getting stronger, more proactive and more mature year over year.

With this in mind, we are more mindful to the sustainability of the innovation projects and our activities. If you would like to co-shape business services that leverage EIT Health’s unique assets, join the InnoStars Service Excellence Programme, a pilot design thinking project launched in Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, and Romania. You will have a chance to join multidisciplinary teams from an international environment and create service prototypes that can support our sustainable approach and be commercialised in cooperation with EIT Health Network.

Last but not least, join, share and spread the word about this year’s EIT Health Accelerator and Campus opportunities. Would you like to master a new skill, validate your idea or expand into other markets? We have hundreds of programmes, co-created with top-tier partners, and absolutely the best experts. What’s more, most of them are for free. Maybe it’s high time you maximised your professional development. Just give it a try.

You will find more updates in the Newsletter. I wish you an enjoyable reading experience.
