Noeline Fuller Region VI Scholarship – Up to $500 Available!

Noeline M. Fuller, MAI, SRA, was a member of the Appraisal Institute and its predecessor, the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. She displayed an unyielding commitment to service both at the Chapter and Regional level. She passed away in the summer of 2008.

In her memory, region VI created a scholarship to encourage more women and minority appraisers to actively pursue the Appraisal Institute designations. Application due by February 17, 2020.

2020 Real Estate Update Recap

On Thursday, January 16, AIDC members came together at Maggiano’s in Chevy Chase to hear Revathi Greenwood - Americas Head of Research and Nathan J. Edwards - Senior Director, Research for the Mid-Atlantic for Cushman & Wakefield deliver an overall economic review as well as reports for commercial finance, retail, office and residential segments of the real estate market.

They addressed current inventory, projected supply and demand and investment dynamics for each market segment. We also had a great discussion around the likelihood of a recession and the impact of the possible 2020 election results on the economy and the real estate market generally.

45-Day Notice of Proposed Amendments to Appraisal Institute Bylaws


At its February 20-21, 2020 meeting in Chicago, Illinois, the Appraisal Institute Board of Directors will consider proposed amendments to the Appraisal Institute Bylaws concerning Board Ratification of Executive Committee actions. The proposed amendments are expected to have minimal financial impact.
 
If you have any comments on the proposed changes, please contact your elected Directors and/or send your comments via email to 45daynotice@appraisalinstitute.org.
