Registration to the 2020 EUROTOX congress taking place September 6-9, 2020, in Copenhagen, Denmark is on going. Hosted by the Danish Society for Toxicology and Pharmacology (DFST), the congress will take place in the spectacular Tivoli Congress Center, inspired by the enchanting Tivoli Gardens.
The scientific programme includes a variety of topics supporting this year's theme: “Combined efforts in quest of safer chemicals and medicines”, including safety of drugs and environmental chemicals, new and emerging technologies, personalised medicine, human health effects caused by exposure to chemicals, as well as safety issues arising from climate changes.

 Calling all members to actively participate in the nomination of potential candidates for EUROTOX awards and Committees.
2020 EUROTOX MERIT AWARD recognising professionals with a distinguished career in European toxicology. The award recipient is invited to the EUROTOX Copenhagen congress and presented with the award during the opening ceremony.
2020 BO HOLMSTEDT LECTURE recognising scientists who have made outstanding research contributions to the science of drug or chemical toxicology. The award recipient will be required to present the lecture two times; the first time during the 2020 EUROTOX Copenhagen congress, and then the following year at the SOT annual meeting.
NOMINATION COMMITTEE MEMBERS (3 slots) for the three-year term 2020-2023. Nomination Committee members propose candidates for Executive Committee office elections.
SUBCOMMITTEE MEMBERS to develop and implement approved initiatives in the various EUROTOX SubCommittees: Education (2 slots), Registration (1 slot), and Communication (2 slots).

 Call for Member Societies to submit a letter of intent to host the 2024 EUROTOX Congress.
Member Societies wishing to submit a bid to host the 2024 EUROTOX Congress should sent their letter of intent prepared according the guidelines posted on the EUROTOX website.

 EUROTOX invites you to submit your scientific proposal for the EUROTOX 2021 Congress that will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, September 12-15, 2021.
The theme of the congress “Toxicology - multidisciplinary science leading to safer and sustainable life”, reflects the inclination to address topics dealing with different disciplines working together, and the diverse perspectives they bring to highlight practices promoting and encouraging the use of new and innovative techniques and strategies, and ensuring a continuous impact to reduce the risks to humans and the environment. Submissions in line with this theme are strongly encouraged.
All Individual Members, Member Societies, Speciality Sections, and SubCommittees, as well as scientific and industry partners can contribute to ensure a high quality programme and keep the EUROTOX annual congress a reference point for the toxicologists not only in Europe but, also internationally.
Please submit your scientific proposals using the official form making sure to include the organizer details, the recommended speakers, and a brief presentation for the proposal. Send your proposals to the EUROTOX Secretariat (secretariat@eurotox.com) by March 1, 2020.

 APPLICATIONS OPENING IN MARCH 2020
Master Degree in “Safety Assessment of Xenobiotics and Biotechnological Products” organised by the University of Milan (Italy). Entirely taught in English, the course has the duration of 2 years (120 cfu) and will provide relevant chemical, biochemical, biotechnology and physical procedures for the study and identification of hazard and risk arising from xenobiotics and biotechnology products.

2020 Guest Programme Call for Scientists & Professionals
 The EFSA Guest Programme is addressed to scientists, PhD candidates and professionals who can share their expertise in a particular area of EFSA’s activities or are interested in specific projects related to EFSA’s scientific work. It is a cost free scheme for which EFSA does not pay any financial contribution other than those related to the performance of their duties during their secondment.
This is a great opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a scientific EU Agency allowing you to develop new competencies and skills in line with personal interests and professional aspirations, while contributing to the well-being and safety of EU citizens.
