Handmade Marketplace- It's the 4th Saturday of the month and that means it's time for access to beautiful handmade goods. This Saturday meet some neighbors and check out the one-of-a-kind finds at Handmade Marketplace.
Free Education Class- This Saturday at 10am, be part of an "Indigenous Knowledge of Plants Class"  hosted by Naturalist Joel Robinson. Come discover the edible, medicinal and material gifts of plants appreciated by the local indigenous tribes. Students will use their senses, including taste, to cultivate a relationship and understand the benefits of a variety of foraged plants.
New Farmer Alert- If you missed Koda Farms last week, make sure to stop by this Saturday to welcome them to the farmer's market. They have certified organic California Grown rice! Their 100 year old family farm is located in the San Joaquin Valley. We are thrilled to welcome them to the market.
OHG Youth Food Literacy Program - Big "Thank You" to Culinary Lab for once again hosting our OHG Youth Food Literacy Program students in a hands-on cooking class! Our students had a blast and we can't wait to stop by again next year!
Seed Donations - The Orange Seed Lending Library is in need of seed donations. If you are a backyard gardener and you like to save seeds and have plenty to share, we would love to add some to the Seed Lending Library to get out into our community. We ask that you label your seeds with the variety name, date harvested, and City in which they were harvested. Seeds can be dropped off at the farmer's market information booth on Saturdays, the OHG Education Farm on Friday mornings, and the Orange Main Library during Library hours.
Bug Day is Coming - Mark your calendar for Saturday March 14th when OHG will once again partner up with Tiddlywinks OC to host our annual Bug Day at the OHG Education Farm. Back with us this year is Doodlebugs Animal Adventure, UCCE OC Master Gardeners, Sargeant Creative and more! Don't miss the fun!
